Most of the time, I'm a jeans and tee kind of gal. From hectic mornings to last-minute plans, the trusty combo rarely lets me down. But I do like to spice up a basic look every now and then, and I've found the easiest way to do so is by adding a fun bag.
I've been eyeing the Staud Tommy Bag for about two years. The beaded style feels so fun and fresh, and Staud offers it in a bunch of different patterns and motifs. In fact, these bags are so popular that there's usually a long pre-order line for each season's latest Tommy styles before they inevitably sell out. But after years of having the Tommy at the top of my wishlist, I still have a hard time justifying the nearly $300 price tag. Luckily for me, Anthropologie sells a very similar beaded purse for $98, a fraction of the designer style, so I can treat myself to a statement-making bag with a lot less guilt.

Anthropologie's Fiona Beaded Bag has been part of the retailer's expansive accessory collection for a few years, but this season's designs may be the best yet. Similar to Staud's Tommy, this is a flap bag with magnetic closures that sits comfortably on your shoulder. While the Fiona is a bit smaller, I find it to be more comfortable while still being large enough for my iPhone, wallet and current favorite lip combo. And I'm not the only fan — Anthropologie shoppers have given the purse a 4.6 out of 5-five rating and plenty of glowing reviews.
