Martha Stewart has been schooling us in style, beauty and elegance since she first launched her catering business in the 1970s. Since then, the self-made mogul has gone on to build wildly successful brands and businesses, making her a millionaire many times over.
Given her success, it's no surprise that Stewart likes the finer things in life. Armani and Hermes are among her favorite clothing brands, and she reportedly owns Robert Clergerie wedges — which retail for $500+ a pair! — in every color. But before you write off Stewart as a total fancy pants, it's worth noting that she does have a few affordable must-haves in her repertoire. Many of the beauty products she uses are surprisingly wallet-friendly, as her are beloved Skechers sneakers. And let's not forget her eponymous collection of home goods, many of which won't break the bank.
Curious how else you can copy Stewart's signature good taste? We found more picks she loves, all under $100.
If you're already using L'Oreal's Lumi Glotion, stock up while it's on sale! If you've never used it, well, you may want to stock up too. Loved by Martha Stewart (among other celebs), this affordable lotion hydrates and gives skin "a healthy, sunkissed glow with no sun." It's a No. 1 bestseller on Amazon; more than 20,000 have been purchased it in the last month alone. (We even put it to the test!)
"I am in love with this product," said one five-star reviewer. "I like how lightweight the formula is and it gives a subtle glow to the skin without being heavy or cakey. You can wear this under your foundation or just as a highlighter. It comes in different shades. Great product and I highly recommend it."
When it comes to comfort and style, Stewart turns to Skechers. Not only is she a spokesperson for the brand, but she also created her own collection. Back in November, she modeled this sparkly slip-on style on Instagram. They're neutral enough to wear with anything in your closet, but the subtle sparkle makes them feel dressier than standard sneakers.
"These are super comfy and true to size," one blissful-footed fan wrote. "I walked all around Vegas one evening without any aches or pains. The little bit of sparkle is perfect for evening out with black pants."
If you can believe it, we spotted Stewart wearing these L.L.Bean classics in a throwback pic taken in the fall of 1993. Handmade in Maine, Bean Boots have an enviable cult status for their impressive durability — you're likely to have them for years. They're waterproof and great for outdoor activities like hiking and gardening. And don't worry about them getting dirty — the rubber outer is easily cleaned with a cloth and water.
Stewart told Good Housekeeping in 2024 that this Dutch oven "is my one of my go-to items in the kitchen. It's great for cooking soups, stews, sauces, layered desserts, bread puddings. It's so versatile and very easy to clean."
Amazon shoppers are just as enamored. "A great size. Heavy-duty construction. Aesthetically pleasing," one home cook raved. "An old cooking concept, but utilizes a modern inside lid with tiny bumps which evenly distribute condensing moisture to keep the whole recipe moist and flavorful. I love making stews and soups in this."
Wondering what Stewart smells like? Probably like something from the Jo Malone London scent catalog, given that we spied a bottle of the brand's perfume in Stewart's collection in a 2021 Allure article. Though we don't know the exact fragrance Stewart spritzes, you really can't go wrong with any of the brand's bestsellers. If you're not sure where to start, consider this travel-sized duo that includes two of the most popular picks.
"I use these separately sometimes and layer them sometimes," wrote one sweet-smelling shopper. "I enjoy them both ways. The Freesia one is a little more [global] and the Sage one is more like a beach trail walk scent, which I love!"
Another product we spied in Stewart's bathroom? This Mario Badescu body lotion. It's no secret that Stewart is a big Badescu fan. She's said she's been getting facials at the brand's NYC spa for over 40 years and she swears by several of its products to keep her skin youthful and glowing.
More than 1,200 Amazon shoppers have given this body lotion a five-star rating, with many saying it leaves their skin hydrated with no greasy residue. "This is very nice lotion. The pop top allows for very easy dispensing. It is not greasy at all," a now soft-skinned fan explained. "It has a nice smell to it. The next morning, I saw that it really made my skin amazing, going from an alligator skin to very soft."
A denim shirt is one of Stewart's signature looks, so it's no surprise that she relies on the best of the best for her jeans. Rag & Bone is one of her favorite brands, and the high-end jeans maker is known for premium materials and craftsmanship. While its celeb-loved jeans usually cost more than $200 a pair, here's a tip: Snag them at Nordstrom Rack, where they're less than $100. This straight-leg style comes in a flattering dark wash that will look good on lots of body types.
According to a Vogue article, Stewart never leaves home without this Alastin sunscreen. "Last week, somebody took pictures of me going into the Today show, and the pictures are beautiful," she told the magazine. "I had not a stitch of makeup on except for Alastin, and I looked really good."
Though it's a splurge for a single beauty product, fans agree it's worth the investment. "I wear this every day and it blends with my skin absolutely perfectly," one shopper raved. "It's a beautiful finish and lasts forever! My last tube literally lasted me six months and I wear it every day."
