This duvet cover comes in 13 colors — decisions, decisions. (Cozy Earth)
I have a confession: I've never been the type of person who looks forward to going to bed. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I run so warm when I sleep that I often wake up to find myself drenched in sweat in the wee hours. Not exactly ripe conditions for a good night's rest! But ever since I switched out my old bedding with the Cozy Earth Bamboo Duvet Cover, I'm a new woman. This bedding manages to keep me cool and, true to its name, incredibly cozy at the same time. (No wonder Oprah loves this brand!) The ethereally silky duvet cover does cost a pretty penny, but good news: Yahoo readers get 35% off right now with the exclusive code YAHOO. (Don't need a new duvet cover? No worries, you can use the code across the site.)
Oprah's a fan of this dreamy bedding and sleepwear brand, and their uber-popular bamboo sheets are 40% off!
Don't forget to apply code YAHOO at checkout to score the lowest price!
Can you really put a price on a decent night's sleep? The only folks who'd say "yes" to that are the people who nod off 30 seconds after their head hits the pillow. If you're like the rest of us — the ones who struggle to fall or stay asleep — you probably already know that quality bedding can make a huge difference. And if you apply our exclusive code YAHOO at checkout, you'll save a good chunk of change on bedding from the brand that has made Oprah's Favorite Things list seven years in a row. The code is valid through September 2.
The Cozy Earth Bamboo Duvet Cover is made of 100% viscose from bamboo fabric, which is known for its temperature-regulating properties. For a hot sleeper like me, this is a game-changer; even though I tend to sweat at night, I like the comforting feeling of being covered by a blanket.
Before I switched to this duvet cover, I was sleeping under a stuffy cotton-blend comforter that I often wound up kicking off in the middle of the night. But the Cozy Earth cover feels cool to the touch in a way that's refreshing without making me cold. With my comforter inside, it's got a bit of heft for a sort of "hugging" sensation (so comfy), but it feels far less heavy than a true weighted blanket.
Placing a comforter inside a duvet cover is never fun, but this one has ample snaps inside to help keep everything in place until laundry day. I will say that the version I have has a series of tie enclosures at one end, and because of the slippery material, they can become untied fairly easily — a pro when you need to take the comforter out, but a a nuisance when you want them to stay closed. (Reviewers who have purchased this duvet cover more recently note that theirs have zip-up enclosures.)
Aside from that, the snaps ensure my comforter stays put without bunching or migrating, and the satin-like material has elevated the look of my bed beyond recognition. Now I feel like I'm in a fancy hotel bed when I get under the covers, and I can "rest" assured I won't wake up a sweaty mess.
Cleaning this duvet cover is a breeze too — it's machine washable, and while it does wrinkle easily, tossing it in the dryer remedies that.
With over 2,100 reviews, the Cozy Earth Bamboo Duvet Cover has scored an impressive 4.8-star average rating.
Pros 👍
"We love the simple look of this well-thought-out duvet cover," raved one satisfied sleeper. "It washes well and did not need ironing when put straight on the bed out of the dryer. ... We do have a cat, and I’ve noticed we don’t have fur sticking to the cover either, which is amazing!"
"It is so soft and comfortable, I feel like I am sleeping in clouds," said another happy shopper. "Cozy Earth is 100% the best bamboo products on the market! Trust me, I have tried several. ... It has made menopause an easy transition. I no longer wake up sweating."
"My boys used to sweat all night long," shared a pleased parent. "Now they both have a good night's sleep with the duvet that keeps them not too cold or hot."
Cons 👎
A few buyers have had trouble with the fit of the duvet on their comforters.
"I love the texture and color of this duvet," said one pleased purchaser, before adding: "The oversized fit is a few inches too large for my comforter, so it does require daily shaking to even it out.
This final fan's only complaint? "My current comforter doesn't want to 'stay' in the corners — the snap holders must work well with the Cozy Earth comforter, but not my current comforter. That's the only drawback: I need to shift the comforter and reset it inside the cover each morning." (Psst: I use this affordable Bedsure comforter with my duvet cover and it stays in place just fine. Here's my full review.)
