“They’re wide and extremely lightweight,” shares foot surgeon Diane Koshimune of these iconic clogs. People love to say that their favorite shoes are “like walking on air,” but thousands of reviewers can confirm that in the case of Crocs, that is the total truth.

Achy feet? Try a pair of New Balance sneakers. Dr. Nelya Lobkova declared that the brand is “great for prevention and generalized foot soreness," plus thousands of shoppers swear by this particular pair. Says New York-based podiatrist, Dr. Zaydenberg: "They’re excellent for people with peripheral vascular disease and different toe deformities."

The doctor is board-certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry in the Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds and in Diabetic Footwear.

Amazon's most popular cross-training shoe has plenty of accolades — both from reviewers and doctors alike. Board-certified podiatrist Ernest L. Isaacson recommends New Balances due to their comfort and support, plus nurses rave about these in droves. Shares one: "I’m a nurse so these are AMAZING for working 12 hour shifts on my feet! And they are so cute!"

They provide plenty of traction — perfect for slippery restaurant or hospital floors — and are available in both regular and wide widths.

Dr. Zaydenberg shared that she's a fan of Venture 8's rocker sole, which helps offload pressure from different parts of the foot. It also helps with propulsion, plus the heel is great for those with plantar fasciitis.

Dr. Zaydenberg is a fan of these for people with metatarsalgia (pain in the ball of the foot) and bunion deformities, thanks to their wider (read: more accomodative) toe box.

They're perfect for travel, too, according to one reviewer: "I bought these shoes for a trip to Paris at the beginning of September. I have wide feet and have had foot issues like plantar fasciitis. New York City-based podiatrist, Dr. Polina Zaydenberg, DPM, shared with Yahoo Life: “They look breathable and supportive.” And one nurse gushed, “Simple elegant lines and so cushioned and comfortable. "I wear them at work," a shopper noted. "I am a nurse so I can say for sure my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. Wide enough for my feet also. Great shoe and price."

“These are good for people with plantar fasciitis," explains Dr. Zaydenberg. "I like to tell my patients to get gel heel cups, but the bubble on the heel is even better because it has a lower density, which provides better shock absorption.”

"Elevating your heel is relaxing the Achilles tendon, and it provides less tension in the area of concern," Dr. Zaydenberg adds.
