My favorite iPad is on sale for a record-low Prime Day price of just $299
Prime Day? More like iPad Day. If you've been eyeballing Apple's current-generation tablet but waiting for a price cut, wait no more: The iPad 10.9 just dropped to $299, the lowest price on record. This late-2023 model — which is not only the best iPad for most users but also one of the best tablets, period — debuted at $449 but was dropped to $349 at the Apple Store more recently. Prime Day slashes another $50 off, and I wouldn't hesitate to hop on that deal; it's likely to be a few months before it happens again.
One important note: The current deal shows up as $299.99 with an option to clip an on-screen coupon for further discounts. That coupon can apparently be as little as 99 cents (for current Prime members) or as much as $25 (for non-Prime customers, if and when they subscribe to Amazon's membership program), depending on the color you choose.
Ready to finally trade your fraying wired earbuds for a sleek pair of Apple AirPods? These second-gen top-sellers have hundreds of thousands of perfect ratings for a reason — well, multiple reasons: clear, rich sound quality, 24-hour battery life and the fact that you won't find yourself tangled up in cords if you accidentally fall asleep with them in. Apple is one of those brands that doesn't really need to have sales since their products are so in demand. That said, we'll take $40 off when we can!
"I've had a real problem with finding comfortable earbuds and for years have stuck to the one [pair of] corded earbuds that were comfortable and didn't fall out," wrote one Apple convert. "I thought it was finally time to try these as I transitioned to only having a cell phone. I was surprised at how comfortable they are. The sound quality is good, and the charge lasts a long time. I'm a believer!"
Insignia's 24-inch TV is a popular choice thanks to its 1,080-pixel resolution and Fire TV capabilities — you can stream more than a million shows and movies. And now, the TV's already low price is even lower than before. The Alexa-equipped remote makes it easy to flip through channels using just your voice. We've yet to see it go on sale for less.
Keep your devices juiced up on the go using this solar-powered charging bank. You won't need to plug this baby in as long as the sun's out, making it ideal for camping trips and outdoor adventures. It can keep your phone charged for days, and it even has an LED flashlight built right in. Plus, it's waterproof.
You, your kids and your grandkids will have a blast playing with this much-loved drone, which easily connects to your phone for taking photos and videos from above. Use it in the yard, or even bring it on your next trip for a bird's-eye view of your summer vacation. And, oh yeah: It can do 360-degree flips! Get it for nearly 80% off.
Apple's AirTag is one of the best trackers you can get as an iPhone user. Simply connect it to your phone and use it to keep track of what matters — luggage, a purse, an expensive bike, your pet. You can also activate Lost Mode, which makes it play a loud sound. Grab one while it's on sale for its lowest price ever, and toss it in your suitcase the next time you travel.
"I've been using AirTags for about nine months now and I can't tell you how many times these have saved me from looking around the house for my keys or wallet," said one Amazon shopper. "For someone who forgets things a lot, these are a true game changer!"
"Got this after my wife lost her keys for several days. Wish we'd done this years ago," shared another. "She doesn't like to use apps, but still found this very easy to use. It was super easy to set up. Kicking myself for not buying one of these years ago."
"Our son is headed to Europe in a few weeks so we opted to get him this AirTag in case he runs into any issues with his luggage," added another fan. "Set up for the AirTag is really easy. I had this AirTag paired to my phone within a couple minutes. Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone, open the Find My app, and then give your AirTag a name. After that, it shows up in the "items" section of the Find My app... As hectic as travel can be, these AirTags offer a little peace of mind."
This iPad model is available in your choice of pink, blue, yellow or silver.
Whether this is your first iPad or you're upgrading an older, slower model, there's an awful lot to like here:
It's available in four cheerful colors. OK, silver isn't really "cheerful," more stylish and professional for those who want that.
The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina screen is razor-sharp and incredibly vibrant, superb for everything from playing games to watching movies to jotting notes and sketches with an Apple Pencil (sold separately).
You may not instinctively reach for a tablet when you want to capture photos or video, but the iPad 10.9 includes high-quality 12-megapixel cameras both in front and in back. In fact, the ultra-wide-angle front lens make this an especially good choice for video calls.
Just one: storage. The $299 iPad 10.9 comes with only 64GB, which can fill up pretty quickly — especially if you download a lot of movies and graphics-intensive games and record a lot of video.
The next step up is the 256GB configuration, which for Prime Day is on sale for $449. That's also $50 off the regular price, but still on the high side.
I think many users can get by just fine on 64GB, but there may come a time when you need to free up some space to make room for new content and/or operating system updates.
By the way, Apple's previous-generation iPad 10.2 is currently down to $249, something to consider if your budget is extra-tight. It's a little slower, with a slightly smaller screen and a lower-resolution rear camera, but it also has a Home button, something many users miss on the newer models.
If you have Amazon Prime, you’ll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.)
