Another reviewer loves that it can predict when you're getting sick — maybe even before you're aware. "2 days prior to any symptoms, my Oura app picked up on a change in my usual vitals ... the ring knew I was getting sick before I started to actually feel it. I was able to prepare before by taking it easy. I got tested 3 days after symptoms started to kick in and sure enough I had COVID," they shared.
And a female reviewer loves how it helps her track her cycles and fertility without needing to remember to check her temperature every day. "After a lifetime of always being on birth control, I went cold turkey and am now naturally tracking my cycle...the app has been able to track my cycle, along with the Natural Cycles app."
Many reviewers note that if you're looking for a fitness-tracking app, the Oura Ring may not be the best option. While it can detect movement and activity, it doesn't have all the data collection and integration that more specific fitness trackers, like FitBit, Garmin or Whoop offer, especially information like GPS integration or timers to track intervals.
This service is free the first month, but costs $6/month thereafter. And some shoppers, like this one, aren't thrilled with paying a fee: "I highly recommend the Oura Ring. It does so much more than just tracking workouts. It lasts around 5 days for me between charges, which is great. Only downside is the monthly membership fee."
Although they also acknowledge that it might be worth the price if someone was more interested in tracking the other data points Oura is known for — like sleep, heart rate variability and body temperature.
