When Oprah shares her Favorite Things, we listen. And when a product manages to make it onto Oprah's list multiple times? We buy. Such is the case with Vionic shoes, the comfy footwear that comes in a vast range of styles, from slippers to sneakers to wedge pumps. Now is the perfect time to try a pair (or three), because this cute canvas snip-on is down to just $26 for Prime Day!
Trying to find a sneaker that’s comfortable, looks good and won’t completely blow your budget can feel borderline impossible. After all, every sneaker company swears their gear is the best, so... Well, Vionic has plenty of shoes that are actually certified by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the professional medical organization that represents the nation’s podiatrists.
Shoppers love that these easy-breezy shoes are a snap to get on and off. "These shoes are really comfortable. I have worn them to take walks in. Wore them all day working around the house. Fit perfect with no issues. No rubbing noted," says a fan.
"These shoes fit great and were comfortable from the time I put them on. I'll be buying another pair. I have planters fasciitis and these shoes are great," says another.
They barely weigh anything, so they're also great for travel. Says a shopper: "This is my second pair of these and I love the support I get from such a lightweight shoe."
What's so special about Vionic shoes? The company was founded by an actual podiatrist. Back in 1979, Dr. Phillip Vasyli set out to create footwear that provided exceptional support and comfort. Today his brand is at the top of the heap when it comes to wear-all-day, walkable shoes.
Vionic are certified by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Melissa Lockwood, DPM, a podiatrist at Heartland Foot and Ankle Associates, in Bloomington, Illinois, told Yahoo Life that getting approved is no easy feat. "They run rigorous tests before they apply the seal of acceptance,” she says. “Having that seal of acceptance lets a customer know that it’s approved by podiatrists—you’re getting a quality product.”
