Productivity, anyone? The Fire Max 11 is available with a keyboard case that also adds a stand. (Photo: Rick Broida/Yahoo)
Prime Day might not be until next week, but there are already a ton of great deals ripe for the picking. Amazon's latest tablet, the Fire Max 11, just dropped to its lowest price ever. So if you're looking for an iPad alternative with a big screen, keyboard and stylus support and expandable storage, this is the time to act. This deal is bonkers. (Unlike many Prime Day deals, this one isn't reserved just for Amazon Prime subscribers.)
Ready to finally trade your fraying wired earbuds for a sleek pair of Apple AirPods? These second-gen top-sellers have hundreds of thousands of perfect ratings for a reason — well, multiple reasons: clear, rich sound quality, 24-hour battery life and the fact that you won't find yourself tangled up in cords if you accidentally fall asleep with them in. Apple is one of those brands that doesn't really need to have sales since their products are so in demand. That said, we'll take $40 off when we can!
"I've had a real problem with finding comfortable earbuds and for years have stuck to the one [pair of] corded earbuds that were comfortable and didn't fall out," wrote one Apple convert. "I thought it was finally time to try these as I transitioned to only having a cell phone. I was surprised at how comfortable they are. The sound quality is good, and the charge lasts a long time. I'm a believer!"
Insignia's 24-inch TV is a popular choice thanks to its 1,080-pixel resolution and Fire TV capabilities — you can stream more than a million shows and movies. And now, the TV's already low price is even lower than before. The Alexa-equipped remote makes it easy to flip through channels using just your voice. We've yet to see it go on sale for less.
Keep your devices juiced up on the go using this solar-powered charging bank. You won't need to plug this baby in as long as the sun's out, making it ideal for camping trips and outdoor adventures. It can keep your phone charged for days, and it even has an LED flashlight built right in. Plus, it's waterproof.
You, your kids and your grandkids will have a blast playing with this much-loved drone, which easily connects to your phone for taking photos and videos from above. Use it in the yard, or even bring it on your next trip for a bird's-eye view of your summer vacation. And, oh yeah: It can do 360-degree flips! Get it for nearly 80% off.
This is a Marvelous deal, so you'd better act fast — it Maisel out.
Prime Day is typically accompanied by a lot of great deals, but an all-time low price for the Fire Max 11 was unexpected. It's a whopping 40% off. It's a steal at its normal price, so scoring this little tablet for $90 off is one heck of a bargain.
The Fire Max 11 is what I consider to be Amazon's first serious iPad rival, with its squared-edge design and metal casing. It definitely looks more polished and professional than other models in the Fire lineup. Amazon also offers a keyboard case for users looking to get some work done and a stylus for artists and note-takers. (Alas, there's a dearth of stylus-friendly apps.)
The hardware here is really solid, including a bright, razor-sharp screen, a fingerprint-reading power button and reasonably good front and rear cameras. One huge benefit is the microSD expansion slot, which lets you add lots of extra storage on the cheap. iPads can't do that.
Battery life is impressive as well: up to 14 hours, according to Amazon, versus 10 hours on the iPad 10.9.
I can't say I love Amazon's interface, but I can live with it. Indeed, sometimes a low price makes minor shortcomings easier to accept. A tablet like this for only $140 is a shockingly good deal.

More than 5,800 reviewers have left this tablet five stars.
One fan said the Fire Max 11 takes the place of an iPad. "This particular has all the features of an iPad and I take it with me wherever I go. It is easy to use and the price is right for my budget and the perfect size."
Another user called this tablet a "game-changer" for entertainment. "Its sleek design, vibrant display, and powerful performance make it a must-have for anyone on the go. Whether you're streaming your favorite shows, reading e-books, or browsing the web, the Fire 11 delivers an immersive experience with stunning clarity and responsiveness."
And if you're worried about speed, one shopper says it's no problem: "It's extremely fast and seamless, immediately dropping me to the home screen with a gentle tap of the sensor - I don't have to actually click the power button down."
While the tablet has a lot going for it, there are a few flaws. One of the primary ones is a lack of an audio jack. "The Max 11 does not have a headphone jack. I know, everything is Bluetooth, but I liked my old wired Bose headphones."
Another glaring issue is the relative dearth of apps. "It doesn't support several apps I had on my previous tablet (Kindle)."
