The truth's right here in black and white — you need a pair of these! (Photo: Amazon)
It's no wonder noise-cancelling headphones are more popular than ever — the world around us seems to get louder and louder, doesn't it? The downside? They can be expensive, especially if you want seriously high-quality audio. However, Sony's latest noise-cancelling cans deliver comparable quality to many top-shelf models but with a budget-friendly price tag — and here on Day 2 of October Prime Day, they're still just $88 (down from $150). Never fight with your family over outlets again. This electrifying gadget boasts five AC outlets and four USB ports, enough for everyone to charge their devices all at once. Oh, and this top-seller is so much sleeker than having a power strip on your floor.

Protect yourself and your home with a Ring Doorbell. This one offers night vision, two-way audio and live view, plus it supports both wired and battery-operated installations. Pair it with your go-to Amazon Echo devices: Something like an Echo Dot can double as the doorbell chime, while an Echo Show smart display can provide a live video feed.
More than 162,000 Amazon shoppers give it a five-star rating. "This is the best system we've seen so far as far as clear picture, video and audio," said one fan. "The notification is instantaneous when a person is detected outside. We run it off its battery system and the batteries seem to last forever. Based on current battery levels, we will only need to charge them three or four times a year."
Travel is rarely as simple as grabbing a bag and heading out the door. Nowadays, you likely need to pack your laptop, tablet, earbuds and phone — and don't forget the chargers. This case keeps all of the cables neatly organized with layers and a variety of compartments to make sure nothing gets tangled. It's currently just $2 more than the lowest it's ever been.
"This is perfect for all the cords and gadgets for a flight," one five-star reviewer wrote. "It's about the size of my hand, and even comes with a wristband. This is very lightweight, but really nice quality."
Need a break from basic black? You can grab these in white for just five bucks more.
A lot of the best noise-canceling headphones — most notably those from Apple, Bose and even Sony itself — cost considerably more, anywhere from $300 to $500 or even higher. Needless to say, scoring a pair for $88 is pretty remarkable — especially when they're actually good.
Sony says the WH-CH720N headphones are their lightest over-the-ear headphones ever. Even more impressive? They deliver up to 35 hours per charge, and a three-minute juice boost results in a full hour of playback. Their Ambient Sound and Adaptive Sound controls make it easy to adjust the amount of noise that makes it through the headphones — there are 20 different level settings to pick from. There's even a setting that lets you "Focus on Voice" so that you can talk with people around you without removing your headphones. And oh yeah: You can wirelessly connect to two different devices at one time, and swap between them with the touch of a button.
One reviewer summed it up succinctly: "These won out over every other set of headphones I tried!"
"Battery lasts forever!" said another customer. "Fits my adult-size head perfectly and fits great on my kids. The sound quality is great! Be careful using it on workouts, hiking, or going for walks because you won’t hear anything else. Stays clean and cannot see any sweat marks or fingerprints. Easy to wipe down. Only had to charge once since getting it and had a handful of days using it. Definitely worth it!"
"Excellent headphones. Notably better than my Soundcore Q45 and has similar sound/active noise canceling as the Sony XM4. Danced around buying these for a while, but these are a great value for the price range and I’m glad I did. The headphones are also excellent for gaming!" one fan said.
"The only downside is the ear cups material is like a soft leather, and it could be uncomfortable after a time. It helps to take a break after a while," wrote one shopper.
