The vest has battery-operated heating elements, so you do have to remember to charge the vest via its USB port. That said, it'll stay warm for up to 10 hours on a single charge! "The charge lasts a long time, but I always tell people to buy the extra battery pack as a backup," McEntire said. "There’s nothing worse than being somewhere cold and your battery dies."
Worried about overheating? Don't be. You can customize your warmth level by choosing between three heat settings. And don't sweat washing the Ororo vest, either: it's safe to throw it right in the machine, but you can also hand wash it if you choose. Either way, you can expect years of toasty-warm performance.
