Do you love to wrap yourself up in a heated blanket on chilly days and wish you could actually walk out of the house that way? Well, now you sort of can. There's a popular heated vest that provides such deliciously toasty warmth on a cold weather outing that customers are swooning — and the most vocal fan of the Ororo Heated Vest is singing/acting legend Reba McEntire. Right now, you can score the fall and winter must-have on sale at Walmart for just $127 during Walmart's Holiday Deals event, which runs through October 13.
Feel free to wear it underneath a jacket for extra warmth, but it's powerful enough to be worn on its own, too.
If carpet stains have appeared since your last deep clean, we've got some good news. This wildly popular, small-yet-mighty mini steam powerhouse can work magic on rugs, chairs, couches, stairs and car interiors. Even better, it's on sale for just $79 for Cyber Monday.
This heated vest, which McEntire told New York magazine is a "life-saving" cold-weather essential and "the greatest invention known to man" — quite an endorsement! — is currently down to $127 (from $150) in purple. That's one of the lowest prices we've seen in months and it's bound to go up as the temps go down.
The vest has battery-operated heating elements, so you do have to remember to charge the vest via its USB port. That said, it'll stay warm for up to 10 hours on a single charge! "The charge lasts a long time, but I always tell people to buy the extra battery pack as a backup," McEntire said. "There’s nothing worse than being somewhere cold and your battery dies."
Worried about overheating? Don't be. You can customize your warmth level by choosing between three heat settings. And don't sweat washing the Ororo vest, either: it's safe to throw it right in the machine, but you can also hand wash it if you choose. Either way, you can expect years of toasty-warm performance.
But don't just take McEntire's word for it. Take it from the Walmart customers who swear by this winter essential.
"Perfect!" gushed one rave reviewer. "It's 100% worth the buy. It's a lot warmer than it looks and the pockets have heat. The vest without the heat on is also warm. It's very well made."
Another happy shopper agreed: "So warm. This vest keeps me comfortable while enjoying the luxury of adjustable warmth."
Many customers commented on the vest's stylish details like decorative piping, V-shaped seams and a cinched waist. "Love its quilted design. My colleagues all complimented me on my fashion. They also wanted to buy one," wrote a thrilled wearer.
"I'm very happy with this vest. The heat on my shoulder blades feels great!" exclaimed a final fan.
Some shoppers felt the sizing was a bit of a guessing game. "Sizes are nowhere near standard," said one.
Another agreed: "I ordered this in a large, probably should have ordered 2XL. It was two inches from meeting at the zipper."
