A little extra protection, a lot of shine. (Amazon)(Photo: Amazon)
There's nothing like getting a shiny new piece of furniture — only to realize it's scuffing up your hardwood floors. Whether you’re moving into a new house or have parquet tiles you’ve been babying for years, it's time to consign those old-timey felt furniture feet pads to the dustbin of history. There’s a better solution that Amazon shoppers swear by — Bulbhead's As Seen On TV Ruby Sliders — and right now you can get an 8-pack on sale for just $9 (the lowest price it's been in weeks!).
This set is available in three colors - get it in black, gray, green or periwinkle.
This is the very handvac I use at home, and let me tell you — it's so much more powerful than its lightweight feel would imply. Is it bulkier than some of the other hand vacuums out there? Yes, but that's to be expected, given its industrial-strength performance. That said, it's portable enough to bring from room to room without it feeling like a workout, and that's all I can ask for. Well, that and an incredible price — and this one is a record low. Bonus: You don't have to purchase the battery and charger separately.

With Ruby Sliders, your chairs and tables glide across the floor!
Even at the original $15, these BulbHead Ruby Sliders are a bargain — it's a small price to pay to keep your floors pristine. But the current sale is the lowest the product's been all year.
The main reason people use furniture foot pads is to protect hardwood floors. They're kind of like slippers for the feet of your couch, chair or TV stand. They're made of silicone that caps the legs of your furniture with a soft felt pad on its "sole." They’re meant to fit snugly so they and the furniture will move as one across your floors while protecting them.
But they do more than protect floors. The noise that chairs make when pulled across the ground is like nails on a chalkboard to some people, but shoppers say these sliders take away the irritating sound ... and the damage it signals. As their name suggests, Ruby Sliders are an excellent remedy.
Amazon customers can’t get enough of these problem solvers — so far, these gadgets have received over 17,000 five-star ratings, but not for all the same reasons.
Pros 👍
“Very easy to install, no tools needed,” a satisfied shopper shared. “It ended the scratches to my wood floor caused by the plastic-like protectors that came on the chairs. The chairs glide smoothly now. The only small issue is that the clear material seems to 'yellow' a bit over time, but the protection provided outweighs that.”
Worried about how they hold up? Another five-star reviewer said they're stronger than they look. "High quality and they have held up beautifully," she wrote. "They don't seem to collect debris when sliding the chairs in and out."
And if you've thought about buying a similar version, this shopper warns that no other compares to this star pick. "I bought this product before and I love it," the reviewer explained. "Then it was out of stock and I bought another similar product. Big mistake. They were difficult to get on and tore. Then Ruby was back in stock and I once again ordered."
Cons 👎
While there are way more pros than cons for this product, based on thousands of customer reviews, there are a couple of concerns that shoppers had. One mentioned that it would've been nice to have larger sizes. "They are very easy to put on, and work beautifully," the reviewer pointed out. "I wish they made them in a bigger size that I could use on my kitchen table."
Another shopper added: "Like most products, they wear and need replacing." The same reviewer maintained, though, that it's a "good product to protect wood floors."
