A cute and comfy pair of white sneakers is one wardrobe staple you can't live without. The right pick should be versatile enough to go with basically everything but supportive enough that you can spend an entire day on your feet. After seeing Kate Middleton sporting the Superga 2750 Cotu Sneakers several times over the years, I decided to put them to the test — and they quickly became my go-to as well. Here's my review.
Superga's 2750 Cotu sneakers have been around for nearly 100 years, so you don't have to worry about them going out of style any time soon. The classic yet simple design makes them much more polished looking than other sneakers — they're the most versatile shoes in my wardrobe! I've worn the cotton kicks with everything from flirty dresses to casual jeans, and even to the office with dressy trousers. And you don’t need a royal bank account to buy a pair — they're only $69.
They feature a breathable canvas upper and a thick rubber sole that provides excellent traction. The Italian shoe brand has been using the same non-slip textured "rope soles" since 1925, so you know they are built to last. The 1-inch platform adds a bit of height; the insole is flat so there isn't really arch support built-in, but I find them comfortable enough to walk in all day without foot pain. If you need the support, you can easily slip in a removable insole.
I will note that the sneakers are a bit stiff when you first get them, so make sure you wear socks that completely cover your foot in the beginning. But after a few wears they should be broken in — though I still wear no-show socks with them. The fabric upper folds down when not in use, making them very easy to pack. They are also super durable — I’ve had my pair for a few years now and they still look great. Since they are canvas I just spot-clean them anytime they get dirty.
And it’s not just Kate and I who are fans. The sporty kicks have racked up thousands of five-star ratings from shoppers who love how cute and effortlessly cool they are.
