Welp, it looks like I'm replacing all of my sandals with Crocs now. (Crocs)
Let me get right to the point: I just found out that cute Crocs actually exist. No, I'm not talking about the very popular, very polarizing and certifiably ugly classic clogs. Look, it's not like I think I'm better than Crocs, I just never felt inclined to add them to my shoe rack (even when major designers like Balenciaga sent them down the runway). But comfortable sandals that don't look gross? Talk about a gold mine.
Anyway, my journey from Crocs hater to lover all started when a pair of basic black wedge sandals started popping up on my TikTok feed. In need of new comfy shoes for spring and summer, I clicked the link ... and my jaw dropped when I found out they were indeed Crocs. More specifically, the Crocs Brooklyn Low Wedge Platform Sandals. In utter shock, I decided to do some more exploring and, well, I discovered that Crocs makes a ton of trendy shoes. There's a whole world of wedge heels, stylish slides and timeless sandals out there from the infamous brand.
Since I hate gatekeeping, I picked out a handful of stylish Crocs for both of us to shop. Prepare for your worldview to change. And if you already knew these existed and love 'em, why not add a few more cute Crocs to your collection? Your summer (and your feet) will thank you.
OK, if you have a tropical vacation coming up, these super fun sandals deserve a spot in your suitcase. The strappy design (love a good toe loop) and squared-off edge give these summery slides a sexy feel. Yes, I did just use "sexy" to describe a pair of Crocs. They do exist in black and brown options, but this silhouette is meant to be loud and proud in a color like this hot pink.
The T-strap flat sandal style has been around forever (and for good reason), but they're supremely uncomfortable. A pair made with the same famous Crocs material, though? You see where I'm going with this. Other than being a strappy sandal that's shockingly supportive, these can be worn with everything from a beach coverup to a brunch-ready maxi dress. I've always loved this style of shoe in brown, but it also comes in black, white and fun colors like neon green and bright pink.
When it comes to heeled sandals, cork wedges bring a boho-meets-edgy Ibiza beach vibe. Similar to the Brooklyn wedges I'm lusting after, these feature a soft upper that feels broken in from day one and a cushioned foam footbed. The cork-wrapped midsole gives them a little extra oomph while still being light enough to wear all day.
I have already sent these shoes to multiple group chats and received many "you're lying" and "there's no way" replies. But, as you can see, these beauts are comfy Crocs, baby!
Before seeing these chunky wedges, I never would have thought that "rubber" and "boho" would be able to coexist so peacefully — but I love being wrong. The braided upper is made from Matlite material (for context, some brands make their yoga mats out of Matlite) so it already feels broken in and you don't have to worry about ruining the fabric in the rain. I highly suggest pairing them with the flowiest of maxi dresses and twirling to Stevie Nicks.
A pair of Crocs that actually look cool? Color me surprised. These sophisticated slip-ons have a leather-like effect, but the same comfort as classic Crocs. They're a bit of a wider fit, so it's recommended to size down if he's between sizes.
It's no secret that ballet flats are a podiatrist's nightmare when it comes to support. Alas, we keep wearing them because they're just so cute (and elegant, timeless, versatile...). However, these simple flats are made by a podiatrist-approved brand, which is a fashion lover's dream. They feature the same molded design as other Crocs and are great for rainy days. Wear them to the office and no one will ever know the difference.
I'm never one to avoid a little shine in my life. And as someone who prefers to dress up day-to-day on the outside but is the ultimate lazy girl on the inside, easy, non-boring slides are my lifeline in the summer. These shimmery sandals are both elegant and laid-back with the ridged upper strap and lightweight, flexible design. Bring 'em to the pool or beach or style them with a neutral flowy dress.
Psst: If you're not into the metallic look, they also come in solid colors.
