Stars want the same thing as we do: Comfy feet! (Getty)(Getty)
When it comes to celebrity fashion inspiration, Kate Hudson has been killing the game since she was born. (How could you not with Goldie Hawn as a mother?!) And while her red-carpet looks get most of the attention, it turns out the award-winning actress loves comfy shoes just like the rest of us.
In a recent TikTok, Hudson rocked the high-low look while getting ready for the premiere of Running Point, her new Netflix series. While swiping through dating apps with her friends (and cheekily rating the matches), the icon wore Birkenstock Boston Shearling Suede Leather Clogs.
Hudson was sporting the Stone Coin Suede hue shown here, but you can buy them in a variety of colors, including black and a rusty brown.
"So supportive and comfortable," shared this Birks lover. "I've had these for about two weeks now and I know it's safe for me to say I can wear these all day long without any knee pain or back pain. They are so comfortable and easy for me to walk in. It's great to be pain-free from areas that have hurt for years."
A great "get the look for less" option, this pair of suede clogs from Amazon has a contoured footbed and nonslip sole and is great for, well, everything except for black-tie weddings and intense workouts.
"One of the best Amazon finds in my opinion," revealed a clog lover. "These rival the brand-name shoes of the same style and I have had no issues with them in six months. The scuffs are easy to clean, the soles are strong but comfortable, and I get so many compliments on them."
"A great alternative to Birkenstocks!" one reviewer noted in their comment about these slip-ons that are made from premium suede leather. "The cork sole gives them that classic Birkenstock feel, with great arch support and cushioning for all-day comfort. The fit is true to size, and they’ve held up really well even with regular use."
This simpler clog style forgoes the buckled straps and little cutouts for a more streamlined look. The contoured footbed will keep you supported all day long, making them a great option as slippers and regular everyday shoes.
"So darn comfy," shared a Nordstrom Rack shopper. "Love the way these feel on my feet. Not as wide as Birks ... narrower at my toes so I don't catch them as I walk and much easier to drive with when on. Super soft suede and stylish."
Unlike traditional Birkenstock clogs, this Cushionaire style has a memory foam footbed that gently hugs your foot with each step. Shoppers can choose from 13 colors in regular and wide widths.
"More comfortable than the big brand," one customer noted in their review. "I bought these because I wanted the look of Birkenstock clogs without the pain they cause my feet. These are very comfortable and stylish. They are made well."
Spice things up with this trendier pair of clogs. The unexpected olive green and slight platform give them a more fashion-forward feel. They also come in pink, black and tan.
"Bought these as supportive house shoes," shared this five-star reviewer. "Very comfortable for standing in the kitchen for long periods. Wide, mold to your feet. Warm and stylish!"
Now, before you say anything, you should know that Birkenstocks are officially cool again, especially the Boston style. They've been spotted not just on Hudson, but celebrities and trendsetters including Jennifer Garner, Katie Holmes and Kendall Jenner.
The epitome of boho chic, the lined Boston Birks are soft, cozy and (gasp) more comfortable than the standard Bostons. They feature the brand's signature adjustable buckles, as well as a contoured cork footbed beneath the shearling to ensure proper weight distribution and support.
If you're concerned about hot feet come spring, don't be. Unlike synthetic designs, Boston Shearling Clogs are made with genuine shearling, which is naturally temperature-regulating. Clearly, they're great for celebrities lounging before an event, but they're also a versatile style for us not-so-rich-and-famous normies. Pair them with jeans and a tee while running errands or throw them on with leggings and a sweatshirt on your way to a workout class.
Now, like a lot of shoes loved by celebrities, Birkenstocks will cost you a pretty penny — and since the style is back on trend, these shearling-lined clogs sell out all the time. Well, never fear: We've also dug up some similar, more affordable clogs to complete your comfy-footed dreams. Oh, and they're all on sale!
