When it comes to beauty recs — well, actually, all shopping recs — we trust Drew Barrymore with our lives. From face oils to hair care, the actress, host and general ray of sunshine has shared tons of her go-tos with her fans. One of the latest? The Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm ($36). In an Instagram post, Barrymore demonstrated how she fixes a serious lip liner mishap (we've all been there) in a pinch with the skincare-makeup hybrid — and also uses it on her cheeks. So, yes, we were obviously intrigued.

In the video, the actress rushes to the mirror to remove her "overlined by 16 miles" lip color after a friend called them out. After removing the product with a Q-tip so it looks like a "normal, human lip," Barrymore pulls out her Hourglass balm. On her normal-sized lips, she applies the product in one easy go. You'd think that's it, right? Nope!
Once the lips are squared away, she applies the product directly on the apples of her cheeks to bring a little "dewiness" and "life" back to her face. The result is a natural-looking, youthful flush that's made for talk-show hosting. "Playing with makeup is the most fun," she says. "And I'll never grow out of it." Same, Drew. Same.
So, what made Drew say "Ugh, this formula is amazing" at the end of the video? Here's the gist: The Hourglass lippie is a balm, gloss and lipstick all in one. There's even a teeny plumping effect.
