Drew Barrymore is a girl's girl. In addition to supporting other women on her show, she's always down to share her favorite beauty products for looking glam — even the semi-embarrassing ones. Case in point: The talk show host once shared a video on her Instagram of her nose-hair-trimming routine. However, instead of using one of those awkward electric nose hair trimmers that gets every little bit of fuzz (with just a few potential ouchies), she uses a pair of small scissors and a Q-tip.
It's easy-peasy, and according to Barrymore, makes a big difference in her overall look. "When the nose hairs do grow long ... powder gets caught in them and it's not very attractive — I'm actually gonna go with the word 'disgusting.' So, what I like to do is take these kinds of scissors," she says, holding a pair of rounded trimmers. "You [can] actually get right in the nostril and start trimming around it. And because they're rounded, they won't cut you. They're safe to use in and around the nose."
Users say Dr. Dan's can also help with chapping and chafing caused by psoriasis, eczema, allergies and more. "The only thing that worked on my lip eczema!" one shopper said.
This cleanser is as close as it gets to effortless when it comes to makeup removal, fans say.
These rounded scissors won't poke you, so they're safer to use around your nose or ears. Of course, you could also use them to trim your eyebrows or cut false lashes to size.
More than 1,500 shoppers give them five stars. "These are a nice length and the finger holes are comfortably sized," said a neat-nosed reviewer. "The end tips make them nice and safe for trimming hair in the nose and ears."
This unscented vitamin E oil is one of three beauty products Drew Barrymore has said she uses every day.
"During the week, I'm caked in makeup and frying my hair at work, so I'm just trying to bring that hydration back in," she told Well & Good. "It's become a huge priority for me in the last year, and now I just want to be soaking in this stuff."
This powerhouse includes jojoba, avocado and rice bran oils for a moisturizing punch you can use on your face, body, lips and hair. And beyond quenching seriously thirsty skin, vitamin E oil helps diminish the look of wrinkles by locking in skin's natural moisture and promoting the production of collagen and elastin.
This anti-aging face cream contains antioxidants, vitamin B3, amino-peptides and hyaluronic acid. Vitamin B3, also known as niacinamide, can help with cell turnover and regeneration, turning back the clock on visible signs of aging. We're sold!
It's also backed by dermatologists and, of course, Drew. She said she's been "rocking Regenerist" for "12 to 15 years" in an Instagram video.
This multitasking serum exfoliates, plumps, brightens and smooths skin. Its main ingredient is lactic acid, which gently removes dead skin cells and dullness. Meanwhile, licorice root brightens the complexion and reduces the look of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Lemongrass, arnica, prickly pear extract and aloe soothe irritations and even out skin tone.
Barrymore once wrote on Instagram: "I've been using this product 1-2 times a week at night and love the results!" She added that it gives an "amazing polish" to her face. "If I just use this once or twice a week, I see a major difference in the brightening, the tightening, and the youthening of my skin."
After trimming, Barrymore uses a cotton swab to clean out any leftover trimmed hairs from her nostrils to "make it all nice and pretty." She says even when you don't give yourself a trim, it's a good idea to check your nostrils for any lingering powder and clean it out with a swab or a tissue.
"It's those funny little steps that we tend to forget, but when we go out in the world, those little details make a big difference," she says.
Of course, as we mentioned, Barrymore doesn't gate-keep her go-to beauty products. Check out more of her favorites, all available at Amazon.
