The fisherman aesthetic is making waves this year, with stripes, vests and rubber workwear boots emerging as key style elements. "This trend strikes a balance between classic and contemporary, making it a standout to watch," Becker tells us. The best part? While you can wear these pieces together for a full nautical look, they're all timeless items in their own right, so you can continue to rock them even after the trend passes.
We know, we know. Pastels for spring are nothing new, but after deep hues dominated winter, Becker tells us that "soft, muted tones are proving to be a refreshing counterpoint" for lightening up your spring wardrobe. Among the trending hues to watch, she says: butter yellow, ice blue, light olive and peach. Celebrate your softer side with these lovely styles.
You know how trends always seem to come back around? Well, this season is all about those vintage vibes. Instead of sticking to one decade, designers are mixing it up and taking inspiration from all sorts of periods. Becker says the romantic bohemian look is still popular (check out that flowy white Madewell top above), with searches up an impressive 54% from last year. But that's not all — get ready to see some fabulous '60s skirt suits and chic pillbox hats. Plus, the bold styles of the '80s, like jacquard patterns and oversized blazers, are definitely in the mix too.
Sporty vibes were a big hit on the spring/summer 2025 runways. If you're looking to nail that cool-girl style without resembling someone who's fresh off a tough workout, it's all about pairing athleisure with other wardrobe workhorses in unexpected ways. "The key is mixing athletic pieces with polished staples for a look that feels effortless yet intentional," Becker says. "Try styling a soccer jersey with a skirt, pairing track pants with a blazer, or wearing a sweatshirt with tailored trousers to strike the perfect balance between casual and elevated."
We love a bag that can hold more than just the essentials, but if you feel like shaking things up and ditching your usual totes and crossbody bags, look no further than the trendy East/West silhouette. "While oversized totes are still a practical staple, the 'it shape' of the moment from a stylistic standpoint is the East/West handbag," Becker says. The longer silhouette "feels fresh" compared with a deeper tote, and interest is growing: Searches are up almost 400%, she adds.
While menswear often sticks to neutral shades, why not mix it up a bit this spring? Owes suggests that guys embrace bold colors this season. However, you don't need to completely overhaul your wardrobe. Just a couple of colorful pieces can really brighten things up. Feeling adventurous? How about rocking a matching bright blue top and shorts? Or, if you want to keep your clothing neutral, you can test the waters with some cool orange shoes.
If color isn't your thing, don't worry: You can still stand out from the crowd with relaxed silhouettes, Owes says. He explains, "This trend is perfect for guys who want to make a statement through tailoring instead of relying on colors, patterns or textures." The looser pieces are a refreshing change from the ultra-fitted suits of the past, but they're practical too — they let in some air, keeping you cool as the weather heats up.
Chore coats were all the rage this fall, and the workwear trend is staying strong for the guys this spring. "A workwear jacket is the easiest and most effective way to elevate any outfit," Owes says. And despite the name, these classic pieces are often easy to dress up with a tailored trouser, a smart button-down or a sweater — so why not give it a shot with these trendy but practical pieces?
