I took a 12-hour(!) train ride this week, and I couldn't believe the prices I saw in the café car. Eight bucks for a small, microwaved hamburger? No thanks. But it did make me appreciate the sale prices I spied during my daily search for the best Amazon deals even more than usual. Case in point: For less than the cost of two sad train burgers, you could get a tube of the universally flattering Clinique lipstick that's prone to selling out (it's on sale for a rare $15). For the price of one sad train burger? A pair of KitchenAid oven mitts, currently over 75% off.
What really caught my attention was the price of this 2025 MacBook Air, which just dropped to a new record low (you'll save $200). Oh, and speaking of all-time lows, you can grab my favorite Craftsman hand vacuum for just $59 — way less than I paid for it — and the countertop pizza oven my parents are obsessed with for its best price yet. (I tried some pies that were cooked in it last week, and the hype is warranted.)
